Overview

The LEAP Center is collating data from six major Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) clinics in Massachusetts. The data are collected as part of a statewide effort coordinated by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The overall goal of the LEAP Center is to create a state-wide learning health system for early psychosis by contributing standardized longitudinal data on a large and diverse early psychosis patient population. The LEAP Center will also develop advanced analytic approaches which can be valuable for early psychosis clinical research broadly. LEAP will create protocols and apply methods to convert large amounts of data to inform clinical practice and policy, and related national efforts.

  • Leveraging recent state efforts to mandate, standardize, and support data collection on first episode of psychosis (FEP) care and outcomes from all FEP clinics within the state
  • Creating a population-based data science laboratory by developing necessary collaborations, data systems, and methods
  • Capturing data from six major clinics in Massachusetts including Boston Medical Center, Cambridge Health Alliance, McLean OnTrack, Massachusetts General Hospital, ServiceNet, and University of Massachusetts Worcester Community Health Link
  • Conducting data harvests every 6 months to continue data collection efforts started in 2017 using a consensus battery.
